Dan Meehan (centre) was recently commissioned at Edge Anglican as regional youth worker for City South/Northern Cluster.

Shared youth ministry

The first event in the life of new network City South, Northern Cluster [an oxymoron, we're told!] was the commissioning on 8 November of Dan Meehan as regional youth worker.

Representatives from the parishes of St John's New Town; St James New Town and St Andrews, Lenah Valley; Moonah and Glenorchy, gathered at Claremont's 'Sunday at Six', for joyful praise and worship.

Newly appointed Missioner Support Officer, Noel Bowditch led the commissioning and Paul Cavanough presented Dan with his licence.

Dan has been working part time at Edge Anglican, Claremont for the past two and a half years. The Diocese and the network churches have come on board with financial support extending Dan's hours to almost full time.

We look forward to shared youth ministry as God grows his kingdom in our patch.
